Foundation Certificate in Business Management (FCBM)

The Foundation Certificate in Business Management (FCBM) program designed by SLIIT City Uni, offers a unique pre-university pathway course for students who are unable to satisfy the undergraduate academic entry requirements to university. There are two pathways available for students who have successfully completed the program.

SLIIT City Uni Foundation Certificate in Business(1 year) -> Higher Diploma in Business offered by SLIIT City Uni (2 years) -> BA(Hons) Business Administration from University of Bedfordshire, UK ( 1 year)
SLIIT City Uni Foundation Certificate in Business(1 year) -> 1st two years at SLIIT – BBA LJMU pathway (2 years) -> Final Year BBA(Hons) offered by Liverpool John Moores University, UK ( 1 year)
SLIIT City Uni affiliated with Algoma University in Canada which offers direct pathway to transfer upon successful completion of the Foundation Program or Higher Diploma in IT after two years.
SLIIT City Uni Foundation Certificate in Business(1 year) -> 1st two years at SLIIT – BSc (Hons) Fashion Business & Management MMU pathway (2 years) -> Final Year BSc (Hons) offered by Manchester Metropolitan University, UK ( 1 year)

This is a full time one year programme offered during weekdays. Students who successfully complete the programme are eligible to receive the Foundation Certificate in Business Management with pathways to complete a Degrees in Business Management.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Passes in at least six (06) subjects including credits for Mathematics and English at the G.C.E Ordinary Level (Sri Lanka) Examination.
Passes in at least six (06) subjects including credits for one Mathematics related subject and English at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (London) Examination.
A pass at the Aptitude test and the Compulsory Placement Test for English and Mathematics conducted by SLIIT City Uni.

Aptitude Test

This test is conducted online and it consists of analytical, logical and mathematical questions. Aptitude Test will be held in Sinhala, English & Tamil Language.

Course Fee

SLIIT City Uni Foundation Certificate in Business Management (2 Semesters – 1 Year)

A fee of Rs. 280,000.00 per Semester x 2 Semesters, payable before the commencement of each term(including text books, exams, and use of computer labs per semester)

A registration fee of Rs. 10,250.00 payable before the commencement of the program.

Please note the course fee of the Higher Diploma level and final year top up is subjected to change according to the academic year.
